The Missouri Division Genealogist will only do a Broadfoot Confederate Roster Index Search. He will NOT trace your ancestry
but
rather will provide you with
a listing of possible Confederate ancestors based
upon a surname search. If a possible Confederate ancestor is found,
it is YOUR responsibility to request military records to expand your
knowledge about your Confederate ancestor. (see our Confederate
Roster page regarding how to obtain military records)
To speed the process of locating information, please provide:
1) Name of ancestor that was of military age in 1861-1865 (For common surnames it is absolutely necessary to include a first name or initials).
2) State where ancestor resided in 1860.
NOTE: The Missouri Division SCV Genealogist may request a $5.00 fee for repeated requests.
